Some older, professional work

Worked on this some months back, for Agnitus, a company that makes educational apps for kids.
This is an introductory video to one of their games.

Never seen my name in that sentence before :)

An animated short by yours truly. Coming your way in April 2013.

Noodling

Playing with Shadows

Yeah, I didn't have time to colour all the frames black. But just imagine that they all are.

Just.. something for a client once.

Digital doodle..

More book illustrations. These are meant to be spreads.
Watercolour.

I was going through some old stuff, and came across an illustration I once did for a children's book.
Figured it was time I shared more of my illustrative work here

Lift with your legs!

This is the part where they're trying to drill into our heads the importance of timing and spacing for things like showing the weight of an object.

Moo.

There's a song in her heart.

Swan Dive

Rough sketch...

...And then there was a woman.

And she wore a swimming cap.

And yes I know, she walks with way too much of a foot stamping thing going on. Guess I'm not good at the whole 'dainty footsteps' thing.

Just keep walking

And here is a fat man walking.

A very sloppy first attempt at a walk cycle

And very incomplete attempt.

Oh look, a rhino!

Love at first sight?

Okay so I SHOULD have 'staggers' and 'moving holds' in this, but I don't. Hence it's a bit lacklustre. But Yeah.

Rotating mechanical heads

Basically tried to keep this super simple. My first 360 degree classically animated head rotation.

How my friends see me.

Made for me by a friend.

Le frog.

Another line test! Yayy classical animation!! Woot.

The first part where he falls in is a bit lacking. I spent so much time on the rest of the animation, that I had to rush that bit.

Flipping.

One day, I will be awesome at flipping. Wait and see.

Click me to see the flippin' frogs!

Repeating background pans, anyone?

This, I know, is bad. But I promised myself I'd post almost all my assignments so here we are..

Stumpy

Meet Stumpy Santa. He has stumps for limbs and just bounces up and down his whole life.

Flour sack

This, rather handsome fellow, is a sack of flour.

Time to start posting assignments from school! Get ready for some absolute nonsense.

Pun intended?

I know, I know. I'm supposed to be above this. Guess I'm not.

Sleepy

This was actually part of a job application requirement.

But why?

Stranger things have happened.

Doodles

Accidents.

Uh oh.

Ka-boom!

These things happen.

Eyeball lost.

Digging through old files today..
Once upon a time, when I was little, somebody handed me some modeling clay and a camera.
